Islamabad: Government has decided to launch new digital service to provide passport to the citizens at their door step. According to media report DG Immigration and Passport Muhammad Ali Randhawa presided over an important meeting wherein progress in developing services on modern lines through digital app was reviewed in details.
This step is aimed at saving the citizens from long queues and making rounds upon rounds of offices so that acquisition of passport could become easy. During the meeting final shape has been given to necessary process and new SOPs for establishment of Doorstep Passport Delivery Service.
The authorities have said following the complete implementation of digital system not only the passport making process will be geared up but also transparency will be ensured.
