Islamabad: Government has decided to privatize 24 State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in 3 phases.

As per media reports Minister for privatization Abdul Aleem Khan presented details about privatization of State owned enterprises in National Assembly (NA).

According to details presented by Abdul Aleem Khan in the NA 10 entities will be privatized in one year and 13 will be privatized in next one to three years. There will be last phase for 3 to 5 years in respect of privatization of one state owned enterprise .

According to reply presented in NA , National Airlines, Roosevelt hotel and Agricultural Development Bank will be privatized in first phase.

Privatization of 3 DISCOs including IESCO will be made in first phase.

Abdul Aleem Khan told the NA Utility Stores Corporation and 4 GENCOs will be privatized in second phase. Privatization of 6 DISCOs including LESCO will be made in second phase as well.
