Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said government is determined for one billion dollars investment in Artificial Intelligence (AI) sector till 2032.

He said this while addressing inaugural ceremony of AI Week 2026 here Monday.

He underlined Indus IA week-2026 event will change the technological landscape of the country.

He held government is taking comprehensive steps to align youths to modern technological requirements.

Provision of lap tops to the talented students, establishment of E-libraries and digital reforms in education sector are included in these measures.

Introduction of e-stamp papers led to enhance government revenue while transparency was ensured through digitization of land records.

Reforms in land record helped to root out corruption and way of corruption for revenue officers was blocked this way.

First safe city project and first IT university of the country are big achievement of this era, The prime minister added that full digitization of the Federal Board of Revenue has enhanced transparency in tax collection, while advanced scanners and equipment have been installed at ports to curb smuggling.

Pakistan is all set to set feet in IT field at global level. AI syllabus has been introduced in the schools at federation, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan which will serve as milestone for future economy.
