Govt evolves fool proof security plan to ensure security of all foreign delegations: Interior minister


Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said government has evolved fool proof security plan to ensure security of all foreign delegations so that every possible facility and security could be provided to guests.



The US Ambassador Natalie Baker met Interior minister. The two exchanged views at length on latest situation in Middle East, the upcoming high level talks and bilateral cooperation.



As per sources the moves for ceasefire in the perspective of prevailing tension in the region were welcomed in the meeting.



The positive and proactive role of Pakistan was also appreciated.



The US envoy appreciated Pakistan’s proactive diplomatic and security arrangements, highlighting Islamabad’s role as a neutral host facilitating high-stakes negotiations.



The arrangements for high level talks in Islamabad were also reviewed during the talks.



Interior minister Mohsin Naqvi said that US Vice President JD Vance, US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, and former senior adviser Jared Kushner would be treated as ‘special guests,’ with foolproof security measures in place.



He further said that fool proof security plan has been worked out to ensure security of all foreign delegations.



The two also agreed in the meeting on further strengthening diplomatic ties between two countries and promoting bilateral cooperation.



US envoy once again admired the selfless and constructive role of Pakistan.



Meanwhile, the Islamabad Police issued a traffic advisory alerting commuters about diversions on the Express Highway due to the movement of foreign delegations.



The advisory urged residents to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with traffic authorities to ensure smooth movement.
