Islamabad: The government of Pakistan has approved a significant increase in the financial support provided to workers, raising the Marriage Grant from Rs. 400,000 to Rs. 600,000 and the Death Grant from Rs. 600,000 to Rs. 1,000,000, effective from this year.

The Pakistan Workers Federation (PWF) Registered has expressed deep appreciation and gratitude to Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Secretary Workers Welfare Fund Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmed, and members of the Governing Body, particularly workers' representative Bilal Hussain Chaudhry, for this landmark decision.

PWF leaders, including Central President Shaukat Ali Anjum, Patron-in-Chief Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, Chairman Chaudhry Abdur Rehman Asi, General Secretary Asad Mahmood, Finance Secretary Syed Attaullah Shah, and Deputy General Secretary Haji Anwar Kamal Khan, along with provincial representatives, hailed the move as a revolutionary step in the welfare of laborers and their families.

The Federation recognized this action as the fulfillment of a promise made by Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain on Labour Day, aimed at protecting and advancing workers' rights. They emphasized that this increase will have a meaningful impact on the lives of hardworking laborers, providing financial relief during critical life events.

The Federation also praised the ongoing efforts of the Workers Welfare Fund, describing its role in worker welfare as exemplary and committed to delivering real, tangible benefits to the labor community on a daily basis.

PWF leaders congratulated both the Federal Minister and the Secretary of the Workers Welfare Fund on this decision and reaffirmed their trust and support for the government's labor welfare agenda.
