Karachi: JI Amir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has called for immediate release of all political prisoners.

Addressing a press conference in Idara Noor-e- Haq Karahi JI Amir said arrest of women political prisoners is not acceptable in any way. Government should forthwith release women political prisoners. Political leaders imprisoned after May 9 be also released.

There is no justification to keep Dr Yasmin Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhry, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Mehmood ur Rashid further detained.

He held health condition of several among the political prisoners has deteriorated . Government should resolve the matter immediately. Government should address the matter of political prisoners and bring normalcy into the situation.

The nation is being entangled in such a politics which is not beneficial for the people.

He underlined that the attention of people is being diverted from the real problems due to political conflict.

JI is not limited to the demands of specific political parties, PTI has its own 3 demands.

JI demands for release of all political prisoners.

He indicated JI long march has been postponed and not cancelled. JI did not withdraw from its stance despite talks with the government.

Future strategy will be announced after contact and progress by Prime Minister. If Levy extortion is not withdrawn then announcement for long march will be made.
