Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says the government is taking multiple initiatives to equip young people with professional skills and integrate them into the workforce.

Chairing a meeting in Islamabad Wednesday , he emphasized that the youth are the future of the nation.

He directed that the pace of providing technical and vocational training in line with contemporary requirements be accelerated.

Shehbaz Sharif said comprehensive training programs launched through NAVTTC are already showing positive results in harnessing the potential of the youth workforce.

He said providing technical and vocational training along with internationally recognized certifications remains a top priority.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed on initiatives to create employment opportunities for youth both at domestic and international levels.

It was informed that Matric-Tech program has been introduced in thirty-two educational institutions under the Federal Ministry of Education to promote technical training. Similarly, an Inter-Tech program will soon be launched to provide vocational and technical training at the intermediate level.
