Islamabad: Government has withdrawn its revised petition filed in Supreme Court (SC) on the matter of shifting Imran Khan to hospital. Sources said this petition has been withdrawn after the objections were raised over it. Now new amended petition will soon be filed.

It is pertinent to mention here SC had ordered to shift Imran Khan to Al-Shifa hospital Islamabad for treatment during previous hearing besides ordering for arranging his meeting with his sisters and personal doctor Faisal Sultan.

Chief Commissioner Islamabad had filed revised petition against this decision.

The plea was taken in revised petition clear procedure is there in rule No 27 of Jail rules 1978 for shifting any prisoner from jail to hospital. But these jail rules were ignored in court's orders.

It was said that article guarantees for equitable trial but one sided order was issued in this case without issuing notice to the respondents.
