Islamabad: US Counter-terrorism Coordinator Gregory Lografo has called on Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

During the meeting the both sides agreed on important matters.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker and Interior Secretary were also present on the occasion.

US Counterterrorism Coordinator Gregory Lografo congratulated Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and the Pakistani nation on Pakistan's 78th Independence Day.

During the meeting the two sides agreed on bolstering cooperation in various fields including Pak-US relations, counter-terrorism, border security, and counter-narcotics.

Both sides also agreed to make more effective information exchange in the fields of counter-terrorism and counter-narcotics.

Mohsin Naqvi said on the occasion that extra ordinary improvement has been witnessed in US-Pakistan ties following the advent of President Trump government in US.

The sincere efforts by US president for global peace are commendable.

The element of transparency, mutual trust and cooperation is conspicuous in US-Pakistan relations.

This is the best opportunity to promote mutual relations in every sector.

He further said Anti terrorism dialogue will help evolve joint strategy.

Declaring proscribed BLA and proscribed Majid Brigade by US as international terrorist outfits is appreciable act.

US-Pakistan cooperation for eradication of terrorism will yield positive result.

US Counter-terrorism Coordinator Gregory Lografo said Pakistan is very important country in geo-strategic perspective.

He expressed regret over loss of lives in terrorist attacks.
