Islamabad: Group Captain of Pakistan Air Force Asim Tariq was martyred during in an alleged effort to save the woman from kidnapping at Shaheen Shown on 9th Avenue in Islamabad on Sunday. Meanwhile Interior Minister Senator Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi has extended deep grief and sorrow to the family members on the martyrdom of Group Captain Asim Tariq. Mohsin Naqvi has immediately summoned the report of the incident from IG Islamabad police while ordering immediate arrest of the accused. Mohisn Naqvi has ordered provision of justice to the heirs of the martyred PAF officer.
According to the details, on Sunday, a motorcycle rider named Saad attempted to abduct a lady who happened to be his work colleague
Group Captain Asim Tariq who was traveling along the same route saw the incident and rushed to help the lady. The motorcycle rider started an argument, drawing a handgun and opened fire, resulting in the martyrdom of Group Captain Asim on the spot. Following the incident, the shooter fled the scene.
The lady later told police that the accused was her work/office colleague, he had offered her a lift but changed the route along the way leading to the argument. Police have started the investigations while collecting the evidence from the spot and making efforts for the arrest of the accused. Captain Asim has left behind widow, a son and a daughter.
