Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed IG police to probe into the incident and file report on September 24 in the case against keeping 3 citizens in habeas corpus by police.Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamer Farooq while addressing IG Police remarked the misuse of powers is at peak in your department. This case is classic example. According to counsel for petitioner these three persons were lifted from SP office on September 17. Police say they were arrested after registering case on 19. On the same day remand was taken. It is perchance that case was registered and remand was given after application for recovery was filed. Police have completed paper work to save themselves.He gave these remarks during hearing of petition filed by Hasnain Ali Friday.IG Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi appeared on being summoned by court.The court raised questions on accountability system of police officers.The CJ IHC Aamer Farooq remarked IG Sahb you are the biggest office holder of Islamabad police. You have to appear in the court due to your officers.The CJ IHC remarked this is case of missing oil tankers and the accused have no direct connection with it. This case has come before me and I will issue order. I will not leave the police officers involved in this case.IG Islamabad said he will see this case on his own and will constitute inquiry committee.The CJ IHC remarked where you will go if the public trust remains no more. And we will go where. I can show you how many applications come against your officers to me. I have no suo motu powers so I can do nothing on these applications. Your police is involved in illegal occupation of land sale and purchase of land. One SP purchases 2500 kanal land and all come to protect him.The CJ IHC inquired from IG Islamabad are we not accountable. I will write against the magistrate that what material was there that he gave remand.The CJ IHC inquired what is accountability system of police. SP, DSP and SHO level person is purchasing thousands of kanals land. This money comes from where.The court later summoning the report adjourned the hearing till September 24.
