Hafiz Naeemur Rehman calls for the formulation of a national action plan for peace in Balochistan

Lahore: Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman held a telephonic conversation with Balochistan National Party Mengal Chief, Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, during which both leaders expressed concern over the overall situation in Balochistan.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that the terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express was a tragic incident that has deeply concerned the entire nation. He stated that Jamaat-e-Islami has repeatedly highlighted the severity of the situation in Balochistan and urged the rulers to take serious action.

He called for the formulation of a national action plan for peace in Balochistan and emphasized that a policy should be devised for the province in consultation with all stakeholders and political parties. He stressed that lasting peace cannot be achieved without addressing the genuine issues of the Baloch people, alleviating their deprivations, and integrating Baloch youth into the national mainstream.

Akhtar Mengal stated that they have long been demanding the government to pay attention to Balochistan, but the government has not taken their concerns seriously.
