Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has strongly criticized those mocking or making excuses against protests in solidarity with Palestine, calling them opponents of resistance and subservient to the United States.Speaking at an event at Superior University after participating in a Gaza March, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that imperialist agents are attempting to spread confusion while both ruling and opposition parties are engaged in a race to appease Donald Trump. 'There are specific lobbies advising Pakistan to distance itself from Hamas and recognize Israel,' he said. 'But the bond between Pakistanis and Palestinians is rooted in faith and belief. Pakistan's state policy, as laid down by Quaid-e-Azam, is not to recognize Israel.' He urged the government to refrain from proposing the two-state solution. He announced plans to organize a more structured boycott campaign against Israeli products. 'We know how to turn the enemy's weapons against them,' he added, announcing a Gaza March in Multan on Friday and the largest protest in the country's history in Islamabad on April 20.Hafiz Naeemur Rehman declared that Jamaat-e-Islami continues to raise its voice against Israel, the United States, and their collaborators. 'Israel has only gained its current strength because of the silence of Muslim rulers,' he said. 'If the governments of Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Indonesia unite and warn Israel with military mobilization, Trump himself would come running to negotiate a ceasefire in Gaza.'He condemned Muslim rulers for fearing the U.S. and seeking its approval. 'They must know that history will not forget them,' he warned, adding that the issue of Gaza is not only religious but also a humanitarian crisis. 'Israel has already lost its war against Hamas and is now targeting children, women, and unarmed civilians.'Referencing the history of the Pakistan Movement, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman reminded students that All India Muslim League meetings had not only demanded a separa te homeland for Muslims but also passed resolutions in support of Palestinians. 'In 1929, Allama Iqbal said our children were being slaughtered like sheep in Palestine. In 1931, he attended the Palestine Conference with Ghulam Rasool Mehr, hosted by Mufti Amin al-Husseini. And when the U.S. suggested to Liaquat Ali Khan that Pakistan should recognize Israel, his response was: 'Our soul is not for sale.''The Jamaat leader emphasized that Hamas's resistance is in line with the UN Charter, noting that the group won the 2006 elections and remains the largest democratic force in Palestine. 'Hamas has made it clear: they will perish before surrendering their arms. That spirit of dignity and honor is a lesson for all humanity. The entire Muslim Ummah is proud of Hamas for standing firm against tyranny.'Hafiz Naeemur Rehman concluded by saying that despite the ongoing Israeli bombardment, not a single Palestinian has agreed to surrender. 'But they do ask what the world is doing for them. They are looking to the l eaders of Muslim nations. In such circumstances, it is our responsibility to support the oppressed in every possible way to increase pressure on imperialism.' He called for a complete boycott of Israeli-linked products and urged people to continue campaigning on social media in favor of Palestine. 'Speak, write, and donate for the Palestinian cause,' he said.
