Hazara province a need of the hour, says Sardar Muhammad Yousaf

Islamabad: Chairman Hazara Province Movement and Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has said that all leaders of the movement have a common position on the creation of Hazara province.

Addressing the Hazara Province Convention, Sardar Yousaf said young people had sacrificed their lives for the Hazara province movement.

He said Hazara had also demonstrated its commitment to Pakistan at the time of independence in 1947.

Sardar Yousaf said Pakistan had a population of around 250 million and having only four provinces was an injustice to the people.

He said a resolution for Hazara province had been passed by the provincial assembly, while Senator Talha Mahmood had also introduced a bill regarding Hazara province in the Senate.

Sardar Yousaf said the movement had support across political affiliations and described Hazara province as a need of the hour.

He said whenever elections were held, leaders of political parties came to Hazara and announced their support for the creation of the province.

Sardar Yousaf said the creation of Hazara province was a promise and fulfilling a promise was the responsibility of every Muslim.

He said the issue of new provinces was currently being discussed in the country and the demand for Hazara province should also be considered.

He emphasized that the opinion of the people was paramount and expressed gratitude to Senator Talha Mahmood for his efforts.

'An auspicious beginning has been made and, Insha'Allah, the conclusion will also be good,' he said.
