Islamabad: Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) has adjourned for indefinite period hearing of appeal against high court decision on the matter of provision of private hospital facilities to three prisoners on pattern of Imran Khan.

The court admitted for hearing pleas of the three prisoners besides summoning all cases related to medical facilities which are pending hearing in Supreme Court (SC) and high courts.

The court while ordering registrar FCC to summon all cases maintained the constitutional court will now hear all record and cases affiliated to the case of shifting Imran Khan to private hospital.

A 3-member bench presided over by Chief Justice Aminuddin Khan took up the case for hearing.

During the hearing the case the Attorney General (AG) said FFC can summon record from any court on the matter of constitutional interpretation under sub clause 5 of article 175-E of the constitution.

Justice Aminuddin Khan said the petitioner says that law should be applied to rich and poor equally.

Justice Ali Baqar Najafi inquired from AG had he raised objection in Supreme Court(SC) .

AG said SC gave us order without issuing notice.

AG told that additional AG Amir Rehman had raised objection in SC.

Justice Ali Baqar Najafi said should SC not settle the matter of maintainability of the petition.

AG said yes it is so.

AG said the powers for interpreting the constitution lie with FCC now.

Justice Aamer Farooq said the case pending in SC is of criminal nature. Case against Islamabad High Court decision has come to us. SC decision is interim yet.

Justice Ali Baqar Najafi said the real question is of power of jurisdiction. The question is this who can now hear the case of constitutional interpretation and basic rights.

The FCC later maintained all the record and cases linked to the case of shifting of PTI founder will be heard by FCC now.

The court adjourned hearing of the case for indefinite period.
