Islamabad: Hearing of the bail pleas in respect of PTI founder related to May 9 incidents has been adjourned by Supreme Court (SC) on the request of defence lawyer Suleman Safdar.
A two members bench of SC presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Aafridi took up appeal pleas in respect of Imran Khan for hearing Tuesday.
The CJP remarked at the inception of hearing plea for adjournment in case has come.
Counsel Suleman Akram Raja informed the court Suleman Safdar is out of country at present. Therefore, hearing be adjourned.
He prayed the court to reschedule hearing for next week besides issuing notice to all respondents.
The court while rejecting the plea for rescheduling the hearing for next week and issuing notice to respondents adjourned the hearing till August 12.
It is pertinent to mention here Imran Khan had filed appeals for bail after arrest in May 9 cases through his counsel Suleman Safdar.
Lahore High Court (LHC) had dismissed the bail after arrest pleas.
