Lahore: Reference on corruption and Kickbacks in development projects of Gujarat against former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi came up for hearing in Accountability Court (AC) Monday.The court adjourned hearing of the reference till September 16.Mukhtiar Ahmad Ranjha pleader of Pervaiz Elahi appeared in the court in place of former CM Punjab.Former principal secretary Punjab Assembly Muhammad Khan Bhatti and other co-accused appeared in the court in their personal capacity.Court has already granted permanent exemption to Pervaiz Elahi due to his illness.On completion of attendance of all accused persons during the hearing, Duty judge of AC Nadim Gulzar adjourned the proceedings till next date.Counsel Javed Arshid Bhatti advocate appeared in the court on behalf of Pervaiz Elahi.It is pertinent to mention here that reference has been filed by NAB against Pervaiz Elahi and several other accused persons under the charges of corruption and kickbacks in development projects in Guja rat.Court has already indicted them and now court will hear the case on September 16.
