Hearing of Toshakhana-2 case adjourned on request of defence counsels

Rawalpindi: Hearing of Toshakhana-2 case has been adjourned on the request of defence counsels.

Toshakhana-2 case came up for hearing before Special judge central Shah Rukh Arjumand in Adiala jail Wednesday.

Both sisters of Imran Khan including Uzma Khan and Noreen Khan reached the court.

However Aleema Khan, Sohail Khan and Qasim Zaman were not allowed to enter into jail.

PTI secretary general Suleman Akram Raja also appeared during the hearing. Only 5 representatives of media were allowed to enter.

Barrister Suleman Safdar , Chaudhry Zaheer Abbas and Usman Gul counsels for Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were present in the court.

Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were presented in the court room during the hearing of the case.

6 witnesses also appeared in the court to record their statement in Toshakhana-2 case.

Counsel Suleman Safdar said hearing of the case is being held after 3 months. The counsels could not come today for cross questioning due their engagement. Cross questioning of witnesses will be started on next hearing.

Later the court adjourned the hearing of Toshakhana22 case till May 26 on the request of defence counsel.

The 6th witness of the case Qaisar Mehmood will be cross questioned on next hearing. Statements of more witnesses will be recorded in Toshakhana-2 case.

It is pertinent to mention here statements of 8 witnesses have been recorded in Toshakhana-2 case. The defence counsels have completed cross questioning of 7 witnesses.
