Islamabad: Election Commission (EC) has adjourned till January 20, hearing of violation of code of election conduct till January 20 against Chief Minister (CM) KP Sohail Afridi.
A five members bench of EC presided over by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja took up the case of violation of election code of conduct by CM KP for hearing Tuesday.
Ali Bokhari counsel for KP CM appeared before EC.
He requested the EC to give them copy of application so that they could hear arguments.
CEC said upon it that you have to give reply to the petition filed by Babar Nawaz.
Counsel Ali Bokhari said first we argue on the maintainability of the case.
The CEC inquired from both of the counsel you both want to give arguments.
The counsel for petitioner Babar Nawaz said we will give arguments on maintainability of the case too.
Counsel Ali Bokhari said ask them to give copy of case to us.
CEC said you had asked them too much. But if they don't want to give. Let us decide about the maintainability of the case first.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till January 20.
