Lahore: The president of the Islami Jamiat Talibat Pakistan, Haleema Sadia, said in her statement on the occasion of World Hijab Day that hijab is a blessing from Allah Almighty for Muslim women, which is a symbol of their dignity, chastity and religious identity. Muslim women adopt it with full pride and satisfaction.She said that World Hijab Day is celebrated in memory of the noble lady Marwa Al-Sharbini, who was martyred in Germany simply because of her hijab. Even today, Muslim women in different parts of the world face discrimination and restrictions due to their hijab. These restrictions imposed on hijab in some European countries contradict the concept of personal freedom that the West itself propagates.On this occasion, the Islami Jamiat Talibat Pakistan pays tribute to Marwa Al-Sharbini, a martyr of the Hijab, and sends a message to Muslim students to adopt hijab with confidence, satisfaction and perseverance. We must present a positive image of Islam to the world through our characters and acti ons.
