Islamabad: Hike in Power tariff is expected by 26 paisas per unit all over the country.

Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has filed application in NEPRA seeking 26 paisas per unit enhancement in cost of electricity.

The application has been filed under the head of fuel cost adjustment for the month of March.

NEPRA will hear the petition of CPPA on April 28.

According to CPPA, 23 percent electricity was generated through hydal in March, . 22 percent through nuclear and 30 percent was generated through local and imported coal. 10 percent electricity was generated through gas and 5 percent through RLNG.
