Husbanded awarded punishment of 4 years RI, 4 lac fine for making viral obscene videos of his wife on social media

Rawalpindi: Additional District and Sessions Judge Rawalpindi Muhammad Tariq Ayub has awarded punishment of 4 years Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) and 4 lac fine to the husband nominated in the case of making viral the objectionable and obscene videos of his wife on social media by him.

The punishment has been awarded after the allegations have been proved against husband.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) had registered case against one Jawad Hussain resident of Kiyani Road Aziz Abad Rawalpindi on the report of her wife under clauses 21 and 24 of PECA act -2016 and section 109 of Pakistan Criminal Procedure Code on November 23 last year. He was charged with sharing private and obscene videos of his wife online , blackmailing and harassing his wife.

Buzarg Shah advocate and Qaisra Malik advocate pursued the case of the aggrieved woman.

The counsels of the woman argued the accused who was husband of the woman shared the private videos and personal material through whatsapp and other electronic sources and blackmailed and harassed her.

Prosecution presented digital forensic evidence , technical analytical reports, electronic record and statements of the witnesses before the court.

The court remarked the accused took undue benefit of trust of the aggrieved woman being her husband and hurt her honor, privacy and dignity.
