Karachi: Accused Imran Afridi arrested in the murder of senior lawyer Shams ul Islam in Karachi while confessing his offence of murdering senior lawyer has declared it a personal revenge.

During investigation accused Imran Afridi disclosed that he murdered Shams ul Islam for the reason that he kidnapped his father and subjected him to severe torture resulting into death of his father.

According to him there was a matter of payment of Rs 35 lac between his father and Shams ul Islam. Due to this matter, Shams ul Islam abducted his father, subjected him to severe torture and murdered him.

Police said more investigation is underway in the light of confessional statement of the accused.
