The court has been requested that the election process be suspended or postponed till the decision. Order for new and transparent delimitations of constituencies be issued.

Election Commission, Interior ministry, law ministry, CDA and others have been made respondents in the petition filed in IHC.

It is pertinent to mention here the EC had issued orders for holding LB polls in Islamabad on October 21, 2026.

The petitioner requested the court to nullify the October 21, 2026 order and election schedule by declaring them illegal. Legal and institutional frame work of delimitation of constituencies in Islamabad be also determined.
