Islamabad: President of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), H.E. Mr. Taha Ayhan, visited the OIC-COMSTECH Secretariat in Islamabad, where he was warmly received by Coordinator General OIC-COMSTECH, H.E. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary. During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Choudhary briefed the ICYF President on COMSTECH's mandate, flagship initiatives, and ongoing programmes, highlighting its active engagement across OIC member states and collaborative linkages with observer states including Russia and Thailand, as well as special programmes with China. Both sides reviewed past joint initiatives and discussed future collaboration, with emphasis on ICYF's 2026 vision, 'Future-Ready Youth.' Proposals included launching a joint online skill-development programme in emerging technologies to benefit 5,000 youth annually from OIC countries, virtual training in disaster preparedness and pandemic management, and organizing the OIC Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Exhibition in Iran in Spring 2026. Prof. Dr. Choudhary also highlighted COMSTECH's collaboration with Pakistan's Prime Minister's Youth Programme as a scalable model for the OIC region. The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of joint commitment to empowering youth as drivers of innovation, resilience, and sustainable development across the Islamic world.
