If military trial of Imran has to be held or otherwise: IHC seeks clear reply from govt

Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought clear reply from the government if the military trial of PTI founder Imran Khan will be held or otherwise.The court adjourned the hearing of the case till next Tuesday.Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb has remarked government statement is not clear. Come with clear stance on next hearing.He gave these remarks during the hearing of petition on possible military trial of PTI founder Imran Khan and handing over him to military custody on Monday.On the other hand defence ministry has filed reply in IHC that there is no information about military trial of Imran Khan so far.Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb inquired what is procedure when some has to be given to military custody. The reports regarding statements of politicians and military officers have been brought on record. If statements come from any officer then they are serious.Additional Attorney General (AAG) replied there is no report of military trial of Imran Khan with defence ministry so far. I am giving statement on behalf of ministry of defence that no such thing has come so far. If any application has come even then proceedings will be initiated as per law.Representative of ministry of defence Brig Falak Naz came on rostrum and told military authority informs the respective magistrate about trial of civilian. We too follow law of evidence.Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb said to Additional Attorney General (AAG) if notice is given to PTI founder before military trial then we wrap up this case. if you say it has to come like sky lightning without notice then it will not happen so. If trial court says the case has to be sent to military court then notice can be sent. No clear reply is coming from government. I give you time. Come here bringing clear directives.The court while accepting AAG plea for giving more time for clear reply adjourned the hearing till next Tuesday.
