Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.(PTI) is ready for talks then government too is ready for talks.
" Invitation was given to PTI for talks from the floor of the assembly. If PTI is ready then government too is ready for dialogue. Talks and harmony between political parties are must for the development and prosperity of Pakistan. But there should be no blackmailing in the guise of talks. Country should move forward. Government is ready to take every step in this regard, he said this while addressing the Federal Cabinet meeting in Islamabad Tuesday.
Shehbaz Sharif recalled that he repeatedly made the offer for dialogue. He said if the PTI is ready for dialogue, the government is also prepared to sit with the party.
He held that decision was taken to broad cast bidding process directly in connection with PIA privatization keeping in view transparency norms.
The Prime Minister expressed the confidence that the successful bidding of PIACL would help take forward the privatization agenda.
He said Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited privatization is going to be the biggest transaction in the country's history, for which the whole process was made transparent.
Deputy Prime Minister, defence minister and finance minister made best efforts in regard to privatization.
The concerned authorities and members of cabinet too worked hard on this count.
Shehbaz Sharif said the conferment of Saudi award upon Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir is an honour for the whole nation.
