Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed Accountability Court (AC) to give decision again on the acquittal pleas of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi in 190 million pounds case.Court remarked the reasons for AC decision are not before us. Finding of AC has not come.The acquittal pleas of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi came up for hearing before a division bench of IHC comprising Chief Justice (CJ) Umar Farooq and justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb Thursday.Usman Gul and Zahir Abbas counsels for Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi appeared in the court.Special prosecutor NAB Amjid Pervez and Rafay Maqsood appeared in the court.Counsel for PTI founder said NAB filed reference against 8 persons in December 2023.Counsel Zahir Abbas read out charge of case regarding Imran Khan before the court.The court inquired as per operation of law this trust is not existing now.Prosecutor Amjid Pervez said Accountability Court (AC) did not give decision on merit.Court said first thing is this the said amou nt came from other country to SC account. Then there is cabinet decision. Second is transfer of land.Counsel for PTI founder said yes and now cabinet decision stands protected after NAB amendment.IHC asked to show NAB amendment.The counsel Zahir Abbas read out NAB amendments.The court inquired why did you file acquittal plea on this occasion.The CJ IHC inquired AC did not give reasons in its decision on merit. Findings of AC decision have not come before us.The court while moving to the counsel remarked we send the case to AC which will decide the case and give reason too.IHC directed AC to decide the acquittal pleas of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi again.
