IHC directs NHA to file record of appointments on deputation within 15 days

Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) while directing National Highway Authority (NHA) to place their plan regarding appointments of officers before the government has ordered to file in the court the record of appointments on deputation in NHA within 15 days.

The case against appointments of officers on deputation in NHA came up for hearing in IHC.

Counsels Ali Nawaz Kharal appeared on behalf of the petitioner and Counsel Sardar Taimore Aslam appeared from the side of NHA in the court.

Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Sarfraz Dogar expressed resentment over NHA on non implementation of court's orders.

The CJ IHC remarked We issued order in September. Why it has not been implemented. Like and dislikes and nepotism is going on. Appointments of own choices are being made .People are making appointments and giving decisions by seeing profit. Earlier CDA devoured government and now NHA is doing the same job.

He remarked chairman who has complied with our orders has been removed because he was implementing order .

He remarked corruption surges in institutions this way. Such people are raised in the departments who don't allow the work to be done. Such institutions have become hub of corruption.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case for two weeks with directive.
