ISLAMABAD: Notice has been issued by Islamabad High Court (IHC) to anchors Gharida Farooqi, Ammar Solangi and Hassan Ayyub in addition to PEMRA, FIA and PTI on the matter of social media campaign against justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of IHC.The court has sought reply from them besides adjourning the hearing of the case after summer vacations.Aamir Farooq Chief Justice (CJ) IHC has remarked this is not the matter of only one judge but it is matter of entire institution. We have not stopped any one to go any where. But no one has right to launch campaign on social media. Now judges should tweet that their degree is correct or otherwise. It is running on entire national and social media. This is institutional response. Whosoever is found involved in it will spend his summer season in Adiala jail.The CJ IHC further remarked now we will tell PEMRA and government that what is their responsibility. we will not tolerate campaign. We took action earlier and no one learned lesson. Proceedings have to be initiated whosoever is found involved therein Whosoever has to give application, he should go and give application. We are not stopping any one. What is responsibility of PEMRA, PTA and FIA. Are they not seeing it.You are representative of government, therefore, we have called you.He gave these remarks while presiding over full court during hearing of case of contempt of court on the matter of social media campaign against justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri Monday.Additional Attorney General (AAG) Munawar Iqbal Dogal and Advocate general appeared in the court.Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked impression is going that government is behind it.The CJ IHC remarked we are not worried over ehtesab. But we will not tolerate campaign in the name of Ehtesab.Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked campaign was launched against the judges but government took no action. Law minister and Attorney general said nothing about it. It means you are supporting it.The court adjourned the hearing afte r summer vacation.
