IHC issues written decision on rejecting petition for transferring trial of murder case of Sana Yusuf to other court

Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued written decision on rejecting the petition seeking shifting of trial of tik toker Sana Yusuf murder case to other court.

According to media report Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Sarfraz Dogar issued detailed decision.

The IHC dismissed the petition by declaring allegations of partiality and misbehave against judge of trial court baseless.

IHC maintained seeking adjournment repeatedly is tantamount to hamper the way of justice. Trial of the case will continue in the court of Additional Sessions Judge West.

According to written order providing lawyer at government expenses is constitutional right of the accused so that trial could be completed. The language used by the accused against the trial court is inappropriate.

It was further said hard language used by the accused against the judge is against the dignity of the judiciary.

It is pertinent to mention here the accused Umar Hayat had requested the IHC to shift the trial to other court. The accused had leveled allegations of partiality against additional session judge.
