Islamabad: Petition has been filed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) for making draft of proposed constitutional amendments public.The petition has been filed by former senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar in IHC praying the court to order for bringing the draft of proposed constitutional amendments to open .The petitioner has taken the plea in the petition that public opinion was sought in 18th constitutional amendment. Likewise public at large should be given right to give opinion in the proposed constitutional amendments now too. It is negation of democratic and parliamentary norms to get pass constitutional amendment in one day.The petitioner said its own laws of National Assembly (NA) say to publish in official gazette any proposed legislation.The petitioner requested the court 8 weeks time be given to people at large for expressing their opinion in connection with this proposed constitutional amendment.
