IHC moved for medical check up of Imran Khan at Shaukat Khanum hospital


Islamabad: PTI founder Imran Khan has filed petition in Islamabad High Court (IHC) in connection with his medical check up at Shaukat Khanum hospital. Petition was filed through Chief Minister (CM) KP Ali Amin Gandapur in IHC on Monday.



Ali Amin Gandapur has filed petition through his lawyer Raja Zahoor ul Hassan Khan.



Home department Punjab, provincial government and IG Jails have been made respondents. Jail hospital and Shaukat Khanum hospital too are respondents in the petition.



The petition said order be issued for medical check up of PTI founder. Doctors team of Shaukat Khanum hospital be allowed to conduct medical check up and necessary tests every month.



The petition further said the respondents be ordered to share copy of medical reports with the court and family members of PTI founder.



For the sake of immediate relief order be issued for medical check up of PTI founder from doctors of Shaukat Khanum hospital within three days.



As per petition PTI founder is 72 and his routine medical check up is must. PTI founder has lost weight during his imprisonment in jail. He is feared to suffer from different ailments. Medical history of PTI founder is available in Shaukat Khanum hospital. Medical team of Shaukat Khanum hospital be allowed to conduct monthly medical check up and necessary tests.



The court was requested to order for providing Dr Asim Yousuf, Dr Faisal Sultan and Dr Samina Niazi access to Imran Khan for medical check up and tests.
