IHC moved for suspension of conviction, release of Imran Khan on bail in Toshakhana-2 case

Islamabad: Petition seeking suspension of conviction in respect of PTI founder Imran Khan in Toshakhana -2 case and his release on bail has been filed in Islamabad High Court

The petition seeking court orders for releasing Imran Khan on bail by suspending his sentence in Toshakhana-2 case has been filed through barrister Suleman Safdar and Khalid Yusuf Chaudhry.

A miscellaneous petition for fixing for early hearing the plea seeking suspension of conviction of Imran Khan in 190 million pounds case has been filed in IHC as well.

The petition said Toshakhana-2 becomes the case for the suspension of sentence on merit and medical grounds. PTI founder is suffering from a chronic eye diseases with regard to his right eye. Dr Muhammad Arif of PIMS has diagnosed eye disease.

It has been further said in the petition Dr has maintained right eye of the petitioner has been adversely affected due to blood clot. Vision in right eye has reduced to 15 percent only. The treatment of this disease is not possible in jail. PTI founder age is 73 years. He should be released on bail.

Talking to media men later, Barrister Suleman Safdar said PTI founder cases will be fixed in next week. Petition for early hearing of petition has been filed following development of eye disease by PTI founder.

He said Bushra Bibi has not been granted bail since one year. We have requested the court to fix bail pleas of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi on Monday.
