IHC order in Justice Tariq Jahangiri degree case challenged in constitutional court

Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) order in regard to Justice Tariq Jahangiri degree case has been challenged in constitutional court.

Earlier Justice Tariq Jahangiri had set up a legal team comprising 3 senior lawyers.

Akram Sheikh and Barrister Salah ud Din will pursue case of Justice Jahangiri in high court while high court order has been challenged in constitutional court through advocate Aziz Bhindari.

Appeal has been filed against December 9, 2-member bench of IHC therein.

The appeal plea filed in constitutional bench said petition filed in IHC is not maintainable . The petition filed in IHC against me be dismissed.

The petition further said such respondents were heard before declaring the petition maintainable who were not respondents. I was not heard before declaring the petition maintainable. High court cannot see the matter of LLB degree without recording evidence.

The constitutional court has been told through the plea that the trial court can scrutinize degree after collecting the evidence. IHC can not record evidence.

The court is requested that writ filed against me in IHC be dismissed.

On the other side Islamabad High Court (IHC) has been approached by justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri through the counsels Akram Sheikh and barrister Salah ud Din. 3 petitions have been filed in IHC.

Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri has raised objection over Chief Justice IHC Sarfraz Dogar.

He has requested CJ IHC to recuse himself from hearing the case.

The petition filed in the court further said that two more judges who have come on transfer be also not made part of full court.

Justice Tariq Jahangiri took the plea full court be constituted.

Like wise request has been made in the second petition that 30 days time be given to file reply. Case be adjourned till Sindh High Court decision.
