Rawalpindi: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered to restore E-11 children park in original condition.

The IHC while directing to stop illegal construction issued orders for restoration of children park.

Petition against illegal construction in E-11 children park came up for hearing before Justice Muhammad Asif of IHC Tuesday.

Residents of E-11 had resorted to IHC against occupation of children park and illegal constructions.

Kashif Ali Malik and other advocates appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioners.

They took the plea green area or public park cannot be changed into commercial area.

Armed men entered into children park with heavy machinery and uprooted seasaw of children.

Residents of E-11 got disturbed and their rights were affected due to illegal constructions in the park.

A senior judge of Lahore High Court is also among affectees.

Matter was brought into knowledge of Capital Development Authority (CDA) but it could not get end illegal constructions and encroachments. Law and order situation has been created in the area due to stopping the occupants from illegal constructions.

The court ordered to restore children park in E-11 in original condition.
