Islamabad:Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved judgment on the case against returning National University of Security Sciences (NUSS) Bill by the president.

Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamer Farooq has remarked this is small issue. What will happen. Let the university be built if it is built.

He gave these remarks on Thursday.

CJ IHC Aamer Farooq reserved the judgment after hearing the arguments of lawyer Farooq H Naik and Additional Attorney General (AAG).

Petitioner lawyer Farooq H Naik , Additional Attorney General (AAG) Munawar Iqbal Duggal and others appeared in the court.

Counsel Farooq H Naik took the plea bill was passed in National Assembly (NA). Summary was sent to Prime Minister (PM). Cabinet approved it. PM sent first summary which was sought back.

Counsel Farooq H Naik gave reference to Madaris Registration Bill. This bill was also returned by the president. It was passed in the parliament again. Bill is still in the parliament.

AAG said president has sent the bill back to parliament. It will now be presented in joint session.

The CJ IHC remarked it is not necessary where there is word national it will be government therein. It can be private.

The CJ IHC inquired university has to do what. AAG said there will be education in university. There will be education regarding security. Farooq H Naik said what is done in university will be good for country.

The CJ IHC remarked it is small issue. What will happen. Let the university come into existence if it is built. The CJ IHC directed Attorney General office should brief government in this regard. Counsel Farooq H Naik said who will remove objection of president. AAG took the plea the way two bills have been passed, this can also be done. Bill was returned by the president on July 18. First joint session took place on January 24. Joint session will be held in February again. IHC reserved judgment after hearing arguments of the respondents.
