Islamabad: Chief Justice (CJ) Islamabad High Court (IHC ) Aamer Farooq has reserved judgment after arguments on the petition seeking removal of name of Mahrang Baloch leader of Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) from ECL.The petition seeking removal of name of Mahrang Baloch from ECL came up for hearing in high court Monday.The CJ IHC Aamer Farooq inquired from state counsel why you don't tell any one his name is in which no fly list. These clauses are applied to cases in how many number they are registered daily. Where have you written Mahrang Baloch has been informed. Had Mahrang Baloch known it she would not have gone to any airport. Tell me when Mahrang Baloch was stopped her name was in which list. Her counsel says her name was not in any list.The state counsel said when Mahrang Baloch was stopped her name was in Provisional National Identification List (PNIL). Name is placed in PNIL temporarily. Later name is put in ECL.Imaan Mazari advocate and her husband Hadi Ali Chatha, counsels for Mahra ng Baloch appeared in the court.They argued Mahrang Baloch was to go to New York for Time gala. On Jinnah international airport Karachi, Mahrang Baloch was kept in custody for 4 to 5 hours. When Mahrang was stopped her name was not there in any list. But now her name is in ECL.It was said in the report there are FIRs registered in Gwadar.Sate counsel told the court first name was put in PNIL and then it was placed in ECL after removing it from PNIL. Cases have been registered against Mahrang Baloch under terrorism and anti state activities clauses. Her name was placed in no fly list at the request of home department Balochistan.The CJ IHC said to state counsel you are misusing PNIL .CJ IHC Aamer Farooq reserved judgment on the petition from Mahrang Baloch.
