Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought till April 9, Thursday ,detailed report regarding powers of Food Controller Islamabad on the petition filed against seizing and sealing 2 trucks of atta from Rawalpindi.

The court expressed surprise how can Food Controller Islamabad initiate proceedings in the limits of Rawalpindi. The action was taken under what rule and regulation. Who is notified officer.

The court inquired how the fines were imposed by overstepping the powers. What law is being followed when it does not fall in your powers of jurisdiction.

State counsel said Food Controller can take action under powers.

The court while moving to state counsel said don't tell verbally. Tell us with record.

The court inquired where is order of federal cabinet on giving powers to food controller.

Justice Inam Amin Minhas remarked you are not wielding powers then how can you exercise powers. DC has been called for this purpose so that he could tell how the powers are being exercised.

The court further adjourned the hearing of the case till April 9.
