Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has restrained CDA from cutting trees besides seeking detailed report from CDA on trees cutting .
The petition against cutting of trees by CDA came up for hearing before justice Khadim Hussain Soomro of IHC Thursday.
The petition was filed by Muhammad Navid Ahmad.
Mudassar Latif Abbasi advocate appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner.
The counsel for the petitioner took the plea process of tree cutting is continuing within Islamabad limits against rules and regulations. Trees cutting is creating climate changes which is highly dangerous.
The court called Assistant Attorney General (AAG) on rostrum who was present in the court and inquired why are you cutting trees.
The court stopped CDA from cutting trees till next hearing.
The court remarked parawise reply and detailed report be filed on next hearing.
The court adjourned the hearing till February 2.
