IHC wraps up contempt of court plea after meeting of Imran Khan with his lawyers

Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has wrapped up contempt of court plea after meeting of Imran Khan with his lawyers.The contempt of court plea filed by Faisal Chaudhry against imposition of ban on his lawyers meeting with Imran Khan in Adiala jail despite court orders came up for hearing before Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan of IHC Friday.The court wrapped up case after arranging of meeting of Imran Khan with his lawyers.Faisal Chaudhry said the basic rights of Imran Khan are being violated in jail.Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan remarked I will not go out of scope of this case. You should file petition in this regard separately.Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan inquired is there no intention to extend the notification regarding ban on meetings.Advocate General (AG) Islamabad said no, ban on meetings in jail will not be extended. It is requested contempt of court petition be disposed of.Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan inquired from Faisal Chaudhry government has no intention to extend ban at p resent. If some thing happens later then statement cannot be given on this count.The counsel said the notification regarding ban on jail meetings be linked to court's permission.Justice Sardar Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan remarked court will not issue such order. Should they wait for court's orders if any genuine threat comes.
