Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has wrapped up the petition regarding participation of defence analysts in TV programs.

PEMRA has informed IHC about withdrawing its notification in the case against the notification whereby participation of defence analysts in TV programs was linked to ISPR permission.

Upon it IHC wrapped up the petition

Col (Retd) Inam ul Rahim had challenged PEMRA notification.

The court has said in its order petitioners are satisfied over withdrawal of its notification by PEMRA. Therefore, petition is wrapped up.

It is pertinent to mention here Justice Babar Sattar had suspended PEMRA notification regarding participation of Defence analysts in TV programs.

As per notification only retired officers of armed forces could take part in TV programs.

PEMRA had linked participation of retired officers in TV programs to ISPR permission.
