Islamabad: PTI founder Imran Khan could not be presented in district court of Islamabad despite orders of court in protest and vandalizing case on Tuesday.
Appearance through video link was also regretted giving the reason of fault in internet .
The bail plea in respect of case of fake receipts against Bushra Bibi and 5 cases of protest and vandalizing against PTI founder came up for hearing in the court.
Additional sessions judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka heard the case.
Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry appeared in the court on behalf of Bushra Bibi.
Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry said we expect PTI founder will be presented in the court.
As per court order PTI founder has to be presented in the court.
Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka said I have too tried in connection with appearance of PTI founder.
Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka inquired from court's staff have jail authorities written any letter.
The court staff told yes one letter has come.
Judge inquired then what is situation of video link.
The court staff said we check it from jail authorities.
Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka while moving to counsel Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry said " wait for it. We check about video link.
Interval was made during the hearing of the case.
Court staff contacted jail authorities for video link appearance of PTI founder.
Jail authorities said PTI founder Imran Khan cannot be presented due to fault in internet.
The court staff informed judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka about the reply of jail authorities.
Petition was filed on non presenting Imran Khan in the court. According to it petition is being filed seeking announcing the decision on merit. Petition was filed before arrest on August 2023.
The petitioner kept on appearing in the court and he is in jail at present.
According to petition court has issued order multiple time for presenting him before it. The court issued order for presenting him on video link which were not complied.
Jail authorities and police did not comply with court's order. Therefore, police and jail authorities have left no option except announcing the decision on merit. It is requirement of justice to announce decision on merit.
