New delhi: India has slapped complete ban on direct or indirect import of goods from Pakistan following Pahalgam attack.
India has forbidden to give access to Pakistani ships to Indian sea ports.
According to notification issued by Indian ministry of commerce a new rule has been included in Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) whereby ban has been imposed on goods imported from Pakistan or exported by Pakistan and transit forthwith.
India has named this step national security and public policy under which imports of any kind from Pakistan will be stopped. Be they are direct or through third country.
It has been said no Pakistan flag bearer ship will be allowed to come to Indian sea ports.
It is endeavor of India to put Pakistan into dire economic difficulties through trade restrictions. Not only Pakistani trade but also its pharmaceutical requirements be adversely affected.
Pakistan too has severed all trade ties with India in response to Indian steps besides suspending all the trade from Wagah-Attari border closing its airspace to Indian carriers and expelling Indian diplomats
