India sponsoring terrorism in the region, especially in Pakistan: DG ISPR Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry

Rawalpindi: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said India is sponsoring terrorism in the region, especially in Pakistan. In an exclusive interview with 'RT Arabia', DG ISPR Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said India is the real patron of terrorism in Pakistan, whether through Khawarij or terrorist groups operating in Balochistan. He said that within minutes of the Pahalgam incident, Indian media and its social media networks started blaming Pakistan. He noted that the Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson admitted two days later that the investigation was still ongoing, adding, "Where is the wisdom in making allegations without investigation and evidence?"Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said India is hiding behind a false narrative to conceal the truth, whereas the Pakistani government has taken a clear stance: if there is any evidence, it should be presented before an impartial body, and Pakistan is ready to cooperate. However, he said India reje cted this logical offer and took unilateral action, firing missiles at mosques on the night of May 6 and 7, martyring children, women, and the elderly. He stated that following India's attack, the Pakistan Air Force shot down five of their aircraft, adding that the sacred responsibility entrusted to the Pakistani armed forces is the protection of the country's sovereignty and borders-and they fulfilled that responsibility and will continue to do so at all costs. The DG ISPR said Pakistan, acting with a very mature perspective, gave a prompt, strong, and effective response. He added that the enemy fired more missiles on the night of May 9 and 10 to intimidate Pakistan; however, on the morning of May 10, Pakistan responded with utmost responsibility and caution, targeting only military sites. He concluded by stating, 'We are not a violent nation, but a serious nation-and our priority is peace.'
