Islamabad: Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson has said the provocative statements given by Indian leadership recently reflect extremely troubling mindset which prefer hostility to peace.

While reacting to Indian foreign office and Indian leadership statements, FO spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said presenting Pakistan as cause for regional instability is beyond reality. International community is aware of Indian aggressive attitude.

FO spokesperson said India supports terrorism in Pakistan. India cannot obscure facts of terrorism by hollow narrative and tactics.

FO spokesperson further said Kashmir issue is core issue putting at stake peace and stability of the region. Overlooking this basic issue is tantamount to put the region on path to possible confrontation. Pakistan will continue to advocate for the just and durable resolution of Kashmir issue as per UN resolutions.

He further said India cannot achieve its objectives through threats and misrepresentation . Pakistan is determined for peace and constructive engagements. Pakistan is committed to its sovereignty and defence against any aggression.

There is need of sincerity, restraint and addressing the root causes of conflicts for lasting peace in South Asia.
