Srinagar: Indian forces' personnel continued crackdown operations across Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to instill fear and harassment among freedom-loving Kashmiri population.According to media reports, the forces' personnel specifically targeted members of Jamaat-e-Islami and other pro-freedom organizations during these operations.An Indian police official confirmed that the homes of individuals associated with Jamaat-e-Islami were raided in multiple areas of Sopore in Baramulla district. These raids were conducted under draconian law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.The police official further said that the raids were carried out at the residences of pr-freedom people, 'posing a threat to public order'.'During the searches incriminating materials linked to the activities of these banned outfits were seized as evidence in said FIR registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA),' the official added. Similar raids were made in other districts of the Kashmir valley.M eanwhile, Indian police have installed surveillance technology-including wall radar and thermal screening systems-at Nayvug Tunnel on Jammu-Srinagar highway in Qazigund area of Kulgam district.A senior police official said, 'The deployment of wall radar and thermal imaging technology marks a new chapter in our surveillance strategy. It will enhance our capacity to monitor suspicious activity and detect threats in real-time.'
