Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said institutionalized delay or red-tapism will not be tolerated at all and he himself will monitor the privatization process.

An important meeting was held under PM Shehbaz Sharif on privatization of proposed state entities. Briefing was given on the progress regarding privatization of 15 out of 24 state entities.

PM directed that national interest, transparency and professional potential be ensured during privatization process. Services of world reputed experts be hired during privatization process.

He said all possible steps be taken forthwith under comprehensive strategy to enhance the internal potential of government institutions.

The PM directed to complete the privatization process of state entities which have become burden on national kitty and have gone dysfunctional as soon as soon possible by avoiding administrative and institutional complications.

The meeting was attended by minster for economic affairs, Ahad Khan Cheema, minister for energy Sardar Owais Khan Leghari, state minister for finance Bilal Azhar Kiyani and officers of other respective departments.
