Interim bail of Ayyaz Mir, Naeem Bokhari others extended in case of viral news of alleged rape of girl student in private college

Lahore: Sessions court Lahore has extended interim bail of journalists Ayyaz Mir, Naeem Bokhari and others till November 19 in FIA case on spreading fake news of alleged rape of a girl student in a private college in Lahore. Additional Sessions Judge Suleman Ghumman heard the interim bail petitions. The journalists, Shakir Awan, Ayyaz Mir, Naeem Bokhari, Muqaddas Farooq and other accused appeared in the court Azhar Siddique advocate appeared on behalf of the accused persons who told the court FIA has registered case against the accused for making viral fake news of sexual assault on female student of private college. The accused are professional journalists and are discharging their obligations as journalist. According to counsel all the accused are ready to extend cooperation in investigation. The court should accept their bail pleas. During the hearing of the case the court ordered investigating officer to complete the investigation besides extending the interim bail till November 19.
