Rawalpindi: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has extended till August 26 interim bail of Bushra Bibi wife of PTI founder in 29 cases registered against her in different police stations in connection with November 26 PTI violent protest besides directing her to join investigation in 19 cases of Attock.

Muhammad Faisal Malik counsel for Bushra Bibi appeared in the court during hearing of interim bail pleas of petitioner in 29 cases.

The court directed Faisal Malik to give final arguments on interim bail.

However the counsel for petitioner took the plea our cases are fixed in Supreme Court (SC) . Senior lawyers and I am too going to SC.

The court maintained Ok you should return after appearing in the court. We will hear final arguments today in this case.

The court postponed hearing of the case linking it to return of counsel for the accused from SC .

However after some wait the public prosecutor Zahir Shah took the plea in the court Bushra Bibi has not joined investigation in 19 cases of Attock. Bushra Bibi joined investigation in 10 cases of Rawalpindi. The accused had said in the presence of her lawyers that she would join investigation while she is major accused in the November 26 related cases. Her interim bail is running since August 2024. No decision has been taken on interim bail pleas since one year. Interim bail pleas be decided.

Prosecutor told the court the accused got incited the people which led to create law and order situation. Clash took place with law enforcement agencies. One policeman was martyred and daily life was disrupted .

The court while directing Bushra Bibi to join investigation into 19 cases of Attock adjourned the hearing of the case till August 26.
